Research & Industrial Linkages Department
The top management of UiTM believe that it is imperative to put the university on the world map; thus, the establishment of this division serves to propel the university into the world stage. Each faculty and branch campus has its own Deputy Dean or Deputy Rector to head this division. The Research and Industrial Linkages Division (PJI), UiTM Sarawak was officially established in February 2010 and headed by the Deputy Rector. This division is seen as the perfect vehicle to thrust UiTM into becoming a world class university, not only in teaching and learning, but also in research, consultation, publication and entrepreneurship.

Facilities Management Department
The Facilities Management Department manages the operation and maintenance of all facilities and plant at the Campus Samarahan 2. The Campus owns and maintains 12 buildings, totaling approximately 814,071 square foot of floor space which is located on 88 hectares of land.
Objectives

Career & Counseling Unit
Main Function
Counselling Services
Counselors are committed to serve students in their career and other needs that may require professional counseling support. As an integral part of the Students’ Affairs Division, the Career and Counselling Unit promotes by extending support services to staff of the University. The counseling aspect of the services provides systematic and creative psycho-social therapies that emphasize non-clinical practice while clinical related cases are referred to Health Unit. These are in a bid to ensure qualitative service delivery in provision of overall wellness of students and staff. The Unit works in conjunction with other collaborating agencies as well as with other Departments and Units to enhance the overall conducive campus climate.
Appointment can be made by registering through www.counselling2u.uitm.edu.my. Although appointments are usually between 8:30am to 4.30pm every Monday to Friday, further contact hours are provided based on the needs of the client. Appointments are granted on by counselling2u website, walk-in basis or even by phone call or any social media platform. Hence, clients are encouraged to make an appointment in advance if they would like to meet with Counselors.
From the first appointment, all transactions are highly confidential (Counsellor Act 1998). The Counselors are enthusiastic to attend to clients at all appointments and to offer non-clinical diagnosis to clients to evaluate their case before proffering whatever support services or resources that would be appropriate. Some clients do find out that talking with a counsellor once is sufficient to resolve their immediate worries or concerns. However, if further services would be required, these will be discussed and recommendations will be made.
The Counselling Unit also provides urgent services to offer support to students with psycho-social needs and other peculiar concerns all days of the week. Besides, referral services rendered by the Faculty or other Division/Unit are often accompanied by appropriate follow-ups.
Career Development
Career development offer students guidance and advice as well as various training modules aimed at supporting study and career planning and high quality placement in working life after graduation. Making effective career decisions includes having enough relevant and reliable information available, combined with the ability to integrate the information with what they know about themselves, their career vision and goals.
“The main aim of career counselling is to help students choose a field that is in tune with their skills and their job expectations. Thus, with the help of career counselling, most candidates end up choosing the right career, and perform their level best, which ultimately helps them succeed”

Counsellor will firstly, be able to explain the entire report, tell them the perks and disadvantages of pursuing both their interests and aptitudes, and give them the clarity and understanding to make the right decisions. Sports Unit
The Sports Unit has been operating at PFI Campus Samarahan 2 beginning November 2013 comprising a Sports Officer, an Assistant Sports Officer and a Sports Assistant. The administration of the Samarahan Campus 2 Sports Unit is under the Student Affairs Division (HEP).
In addition to conducting programs and activities of students and staff, sports units also maintain, maintain and promote sports facilities. Function
This unit plays a key role in managing and enhancing image and reputation of the university locally and globally.

We also help Rector and other HODs prepare for media interviews, develop messages to deliver to the stakeholders and suggest new initiatives to keep this university on the cutting edge of communication with our internal and external stakeholders.
We also assists in promoting programs and enhancing enrolment of the university to support the mission of this university, which is to enhance the knowledge and expertise of Bumiputeras in all fields of study through professional programmes, research work and community service based on moral values and professional ethics.
